Taranaki Tuu Mai began in 2009 at Owae Marae and is a Taranaki Iwi kaupapa that brings together the 8 Iwi of Taranaki for a weekend of fun and togetherness. The festival has been hosted over the years by:
2011 - Taranaki
2013 - Ngaa Rauru Kiitahi
2015 - Ngaati Mutunga
2017 - Ngaaruahine
Its now 2019 and we are about to embark of the next Taranaki Tuu Mai festival which will be hosted by Ngaati Maru in Inglewood.
On Thursday 23rd May, Ngaati Maru were broadcast on Te Korimako o Taranaki to release the official Taranaki Tuu Mai Programme and to discuss other elements of the festival this year. You can check out the video on the Taranaki Tuu Mai ki Ngaati Maru Facebook page here.
The Ngaa Rauru coordination team will be meeting with the host Iwi on 12 June to collect the Iwi information packs and to ask any questions our uri have so keep an eye on our website and facebook page for that information.
